How I use my iPad personally

Going off on what Miguel has been talking about, the iPad isn’t for the smooth-blind.
That is, if one cannot envision oneself utilizing the iPad as an enabler of a smoother media consumption (sometimes production) device, well, you can lead a horse to water, but…
Here is how I use my iPad, personally.
- Media consumption while in the kitchen, laying in bed or in the John
- TED talks while I am eating at the dining table
- Review Twitter feed using the Flipboard app - once you go flipboard, you can’t go back
- Review RSS feeds using the Reeder app - I used to mess with Byline, because it has a free Ad version, but Reeder is just some kind of wonderful (hi Talib)
- Break out ideas using the iThoughts HD app - mindmapping is almost better than sliced bread with smeared almond butter and honey, almost
- Read ebooks within my Kindle and iBooks apps - (backlit for sundown and most importantly, what Miguel has been talking about)
- iA Writer, for personal journal entries - arm yourself with an Apple external bluetooth keyboard, and you’re set, like a devil with a blue dress
- Reading comic books using the Cloudreaders app - as of late: Kick-Ass, Astonishing X-Men, X-Men: First Class, Wolverine Noir
- Goodreader - to read PDFs, because you can highlight, most important for indexing, because what would be the point of reading if you can’t refer back to your highlights
- Playing multi-player games with people like Monopoly or Carcassonne (and getting kicked out of brunch joints for doing it)
- Maps as a navigation device while traversing a new city in Vietnam on zee motorbike - Vietnam 3G, and a running back’s arm extension: necessities
This is how I used the iPad at work, whiles back.
