How the iPhone makes living abroad in Vietnam Possible - Part 1
Yes, there has always been life before technology and life will always be possible without it. Technology just cuts down on face to face, eye to ear communication, for better and worse. There was life before the cell phone, the Internet, Craiglists, Twitter. Prior, I used to own a Samsung phone and prior to that, an LG. Let me count the ways, rather, the iPhone OS and its apps that have made living abroad in Vietnam, pleasant. iFitness
According to an amigo, my Vietnamese language proficiency is the equivalent of a Japanese Ex-Pat, which I’ll take as a compliment because Japanese people are smooth (Hi Maria Ozawa). On that note, language barrier serves as a slight issue when it comes to personal training (slight because at the end of the day, the instruction is still via visible physical demonstration). In times of zip-lip, iFitness guides me towards the path of the illustrious 6-pa…2 Liter. Baby steps, baby. Marvel (Comics)
Growing up, comic books were my siblings, my companionship, my SAT tutor when I had no money for Kumon classes, my apertif on a task-less Saturday and I was in need to warp myself, out of myself. It cultivated in me - a love for drawing, an appreciation for human anatomy especially that of the female (HOVA), to choose words wisely in every given moment, no adjective left behind. I have a comic book collection cared under the ward of mi madre; I can’t bring it with me on my endeavours. The Marvel app that was just released is the perfect way for me to stay in touch with this realm, to which I owe my maturation. The panel to panel transitional storytelling is also so necessary ma, given my wandering eye (I do have Viet dude blood in me after all, can’t knock the hustle). One warning: They best add every single X-Men drawn by Jim Lee or I’m fint to get BOUT IT like a Red-Shirt in Bangkok. Street Fighter IV
Bringing sexyback, well bringing Chun-Li back, Capcom and those surviving game companies are ushering a flood of video games from the EGM yesteryears. One could be at Au Parc - nhau-ing with yah jigs - flash-kicking Dhalsim, all the while in reverie of Bizzie Bone’s thehelldidhesay rhymes, Pogs and Hot Cheetos of those middle school days. Other recommendations: Brain Exercise, Plants vs. Zombies, Zen Bound, Bust A Move, N.O.V.A., Fare City, Tornado, Lemonade Tycoon Requests: NBA Jam, Ninja Warriors iTunes
